MBI Orientation Begins

All of the MBI chanichim (participants) are finally all together in Israel. At 7:00 am

They spent the rest of the day getting to know each other and their madrichim (counselors). Before beginning Kabbalat Shabbat they enjoyed mishpachot, an MBI Friday evening tradition. During this time of the week they have the chance to sit with all of the chanichim from their home Machaneh (camp) and share with each other how their week was. It's a great time for them to check in about the week that was, chat about home and to be around only farmiliar faces.

Then, they welcomed in their first Shabbat together in Israel!

Here are the participants during mishpachot...

The Moshava chanichim...

Miriam chanichim...

The Na'aleh chanichim...

And those from Gilboa.

The Galil chanichim...

And Gesher...

And of course Tavor.

  1. The hostel looks beautiful and hopefully you have all had a peaceful Shabbat. I'm sure I am not alone in wondering how MBI is dealing with the distressing news and whether that has changed any of your plans to walk in the Old City. I am sure I wouldn't know what to do. Most likely it is still quite safe.

  2. Hi Brenda,
I understand your concern. The group did receive security clearance to travel to the Old City today. Each day tehy will continue to receive security clearance to proceed with the itinerary as planned. If for some reason the situation on the ground in Israel changes and we are no longer able to receive this clearance we will then make necessary changes to the itinerary.

Thank you for the concern and please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Jeremy
